What is A Fumigant?

A fumigant is a chemical at a particular temperature and pressure that can exist in gaseous state in sufficient concentration and for sufficient time to be lethal to insect pests.

What is Chloropicrin?

Chloropicrin, a warning agent, is a colourless liquid with a strong odour, causing tearing of the eyes.

Why chloropicrin is mixed with MBr

fumigants are odourless. Therefore, fumigators are required to release a warning agent such as chloropicrin (tear gas) within the structure at the time the fumigation.

How Long Does A Fumigation Take

The length of time required for a fumigation.
A fumigation can take anywhere from six hours to one week depending on the type of infestation, dosage, temperature, size of the structure and other actors.
